• Completes station set up at beginning of shift.• Makes sure station is fully stocked and organized before service.• Reports to chef immediately if/when their station is short of a certain item.• Ensure timely preparation of fresh ingredients for station to guarantee high quality of food production.• Remain calm and focused while multi tasking and carrying out multiple tasks simultaneously.• Communicates well with all other kitchen staff during lunch or dinner service.• Receives instructions and constructive criticism well from co workers and managers.• Plating techniques are refined and all plating is always consistent.• Completes dishes with urgency and care.• Helps out other stations when they can.• Assists head chef or sous chef with food ordering and food stocking to maintain food stock and consistency. Ensure that food is rotated properly using FIFO (first in first out) procedures. • Takes initiative to learn other stations and expand their knowledge in the kitchen at different stations.• AM- clean station at 2:30pm and help transition into dinner service/check trash bins and replace if they are full/ check walk in chiller and dry store areas and make sure they are clean and organized.• AM- assist chef with inventory and ordering.• PM- completes cleaning the kitchen with the rest of the team (scrubbing floors, wiping down walls and tables).
